Heavy air runner. 1.5oz cloth built for 25knots of wind.

Fyfe Sails offers many different options for cruising and club racing yachts. It often depends on the type of yacht and the owners requirements as to what sort of sail would suit them best. Some of the more common sails are:

• MPA Spinnaker
• MPS Spinnaker
• Snuffer Socks

MPA Spinnaker

Multi purpose Asymmetric. This is an asymmetric type sail that is typically flown of the bow to enhance downwind sailing without the hassle of a spinnaker pole. Can be used with an ATN style snuffer sock for launching and retrieving.

MPS Spinnaker

A multipurpose spinnaker flown from a spinnaker pole for general sailing and ocean cruising. Can be used with an ATN style snuffer sock for launching and retrieving.

Snuffer Socks

These are tubular socks with a fibreglass front lip. Flown from above the spinnaker they can be pulled down to collapse and douse the sail making the dropping of the spinnaker easier and less risky especially short handed of family cruising.
When relaunching the spinnaker the Snuffer remains over the spinnaker and is then hoisted up by a separate line allowing the spinnaker to fly.
